The Rats' Nest a.k.a. My Hair

My hair has always been a very sore point for me.Where my friends have the most beautiful, silky long hair you can imagine,I was 'blessed' with a curly mop of dry reddish/brown hair, that cannot be tamed. The brush or hair cream still has to be invented that can keep my hair under wraps.

Unfortunately,I haven't been blessed with incredible hair blowdrying skills either, and whenever I attempt to make my hair sleek and sexy,I somehow end up looking like Cameron Diaz's character in "Being John Malkovich".

Last night was another battle of the hair and comb.I shower each night before going to bed,and I just can't shower without washing my hair.Which is bad, because it actually dries out my already fragile hair.I condition my hair to death, but it really doesn't seem to be doing any good.

After the shower, comes the part I dread all day.The Combing of The Hair. For nearly 15 minutes,I have to pull and tug at my hair with the poor overworked comb,in order to get some semblance of neatness to my hair. After the horrible 15 minutes,my comb looks like it's been swallowed by a rat.Or at least is lying in a rats' nest.I swear I have more hair left on my comb afterwards, than some people have on their heads.Quite frankly,it amazes me sometimes that I have any hair left on my head at all.

Why,dear God,can't I have hair that looks like this?!

Because if my hair keeps acting up,this is the style I'm going to go for!I love this short platinum 'do,but I don't really think it will work for me.But a girl can dream, hey?

It may just be because I don't need to put up with the maintenance, but you're hair sounds nicer than you give it credit for.
