I love me some bald men

I'm really into hair at the moment it seems (my colour came out really well,it looks very natural, not like its coloured,so I'm very pleased)and I got to thinking about what the kind of hair look is I like on a man.I've always liked the stereotypical look of a guy like Brad Pitt or Johnny Depp, and still do,and in my school days there was nothing sexier than a guy with long dark hair, but ever since I got together with my man,I have developed a very big, let's call it admiration, for a baldheaded or shaven man.It just looks so tough and manly, and it actually is quite sexy, even though lots of men find the loss of their hair to be emasculating.I find it the complete opposite.

Like the guys above have proven, you don't need a bunch of hair to look good,or be a tough (yet sensitive) guy.

So guys,if you're starting to thin out on top, please avoid the following,by any means neccessary ~

I swear to God,these two pictures actually make me nautious.

Color me brown

I have had these highlights in my hair since I think October/November last year,so you can just imagine the kind of regrowth I am rocking at the moment.Previously,I vowed that I would cover the highlights with a very normal (aka.boring) brown colour,in order for my real hair colour to start growing out, without constantly having to worry about the dreaded regrowth.

I haven't seen my natural hair colour since I was 18,and I always tend to have outlandish colours in my hair. It's either jetblack, very blonde, red, nearly purple,or some outlandish mixture of the lot.So I'm very ready to just go plain for a bit,and cut down on unneccessary hair maintenance, because I am in fact the laziest person when it comes to making my hair look pretty.

I hope to God that the colour is dark enough to cover the blonde, but not so dark that I end up looking like the long lost Adams sibling.Wish me luck!

Monday Morning Madness,sort of

It has been a very hectic Monday morning at work, that I only realised now that I did my 100th post on Friday, and in just little more than a month!I rock!In my own mind,at least.

I'm one of the select few (it seems) that don't own a home computer, because in all honesty,I don't really like computers all that much, and mostly just use it for work.So I only post during the week, and therefor tend to be very behind on all the other incredible bloggers, who keep up to date posts going, even on weekends.

I got tagged on Sunday,by the adorable Snickerdoodle Champagne, and only now have gotten the chance to do it.So here goes.

Step 1: respond and rework—answer the questions on your own blog, replace one question that you dislike with a question of your own invention, add one more question of your own.
Step 2: tag other people.

1) What are the 3 things you would save out of your burning house?
My family photos,my cat and my purse (since my purse contains most of my important stuff anyway)

2) What was the last thing you read/are currently reading?
Dark Hollow by John Connolly

3) Do you nap a lot?
Once in a blue moon, like yesterday afternoon, and only because my headache forced me into bed

4) Who was the last person you hugged?
My boyfriend

5) What is your current obsession/addiction?
My little nephew

6) What is the last thing you said out loud? To my boss "These people are such assholes."And he agreed

7) What websites do you always visit when you go online?
Facebook,X17 Online,Evilbeet,Sasha is a Monster and Check my Secret

8) What was the last item you bought? A new watch battery

9) What is your most challenging goal?
To not strangle my boyfriend during PMS

10) If you could have a house totally paid for, fully furnished, anywhere in the world, where would it be?
That's easy,in Hermanus

11) Favorite Vacation spot?
South Africa's West Coast, like Yzerfontein or Elands' Bay

12) Say something to the person who tagged you:
Even though we don't know each other personally, you're an awesome blogger, and I look forward to reading everything you have to say

13) Name one thing you just can't resist no matter how bad it is for you: Highlighting my hair, even though I know it messes up my hair

14) What is your favorite item of clothing?
A jersey my mother knit for me

15) Favorite pair of shoes you keep going back to over and over, even though your closet is over flowing with a zillion others?!
I actually don't own that many pairs of shoes, because I have terrible feet to get shoes for,but I have this plain pair of little black boots, that were very inexpensive, look good with every long pant, and are extremely comfortable.

16) Name one thing you can not live with out:
My boyfriend (cliché,but very true)

17) What do you envy?
Heiresses,I would love to be able to just spend all day just worrying about my next outfit.Carefree

18) If you could only have one 3 course meal for eternity, what would it be?
For starters - prawn cocktail, main course - lasagne, dessert - malva pudding with vanilla ice cream.

So,that was quite painless, and since this is a game of tagging, here are the people I'm tagging:

* Creative Kerfuffle
*Chele
*Drollgirl
*Mmmadrid
*Belette

The Rats' Nest a.k.a. My Hair

My hair has always been a very sore point for me.Where my friends have the most beautiful, silky long hair you can imagine,I was 'blessed' with a curly mop of dry reddish/brown hair, that cannot be tamed. The brush or hair cream still has to be invented that can keep my hair under wraps.

Unfortunately,I haven't been blessed with incredible hair blowdrying skills either, and whenever I attempt to make my hair sleek and sexy,I somehow end up looking like Cameron Diaz's character in "Being John Malkovich".

Last night was another battle of the hair and comb.I shower each night before going to bed,and I just can't shower without washing my hair.Which is bad, because it actually dries out my already fragile hair.I condition my hair to death, but it really doesn't seem to be doing any good.

After the shower, comes the part I dread all day.The Combing of The Hair. For nearly 15 minutes,I have to pull and tug at my hair with the poor overworked comb,in order to get some semblance of neatness to my hair. After the horrible 15 minutes,my comb looks like it's been swallowed by a rat.Or at least is lying in a rats' nest.I swear I have more hair left on my comb afterwards, than some people have on their heads.Quite frankly,it amazes me sometimes that I have any hair left on my head at all.

Why,dear God,can't I have hair that looks like this?!

Because if my hair keeps acting up,this is the style I'm going to go for!I love this short platinum 'do,but I don't really think it will work for me.But a girl can dream, hey?
