February 22

Was my birthday!I had a very quiet, relaxing day, only going out of the apartment to have lunch at my mom's house. She made the most delicious lasagne (which I had 2 plates of) and a peppermint crisp desert (which was totally delicious,as always).

They even laid a pretty table for me.

I got some presents - mostly thing I can use around the apartment, which is great, because I'm usually too cheap to buy these things myself. After lunch JC and I went back to the apartment, and started watching some old movie.I really wanted to sit with him and cuddle, and watch the movie, but after the HUGE lunch I'd just had,all I wanted to do,was take a long nap (in my defence,I had been up since 6:30am - couldn't sleep again once I was awake).

I slept for about 2 hours, and after that I decided to eat some more!

So yeah, that's basically how I spent my birthday ~ eating and sleeping. So,basically,I spent it just the way I wanted to.JC and I are going to a small beach town this weekend,so that will be my real birthday weekend, seeing as I had to work on the actual weekend.I can't wait to go to the beach, with a little cool weather.Heaven!

I am SUCH a fatty

Because only a true fatty would find any of this the least bit appetizing.

{Just a few of my personal favorites}

These are enough to clog all your major arteries, just by the mere sight of them.

The Most Dangerous Chocolate Cake Recipe - EVER

Why?Because its so bloody easy to make,so you can make it anytime you feel like it!I thought I'd start off the day with something sweet, and couldn't think of anything sweeter than some lovely, dark chocolate cake. This recipe is really a 'piece of cake' to do (not funny,I know, but it's still really early).

5 MINUTE CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE

4 tablespoons flour
4 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons cocoa
1 egg
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons oil
3 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional)
a small splash of vanilla extract
1 large coffee mug

Add the dry ingredients to a mug, and mix well. Add the egg and mix thoroughly.Pour in the milk and oil and mix well. Add the chocolate chips (if you're using that) and vanilla extract, and mix again.

Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes at 1000 watts (high). The cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don't be alarmed!

Allow the cake to cool a little, and tip out onto a plate if desired.

EAT and ENJOY! (this can serve 2 if you want to feel slightly more virtuous).

Whazzup?It's weekend!

Basic plans for the weekend:
1.Eat too much
2.Talk too much
3.Sleep too little
4.Play with my nephew so his mother has trouble putting him to sleep
5.Make a chicken potjie and rice (yummy!)
6.Start reading my new book

And if,somewhere in my hectic schedule I get the time,I guess I'll have to clean the apartment again, although I have no problem living in some degree of filth.I wasn't born in the Chinese year of the Pig for nothing, you know.

Have a great weekend everyone, and stay safe!

Thought for the weekend

If fire fighters fight fires and crime fighters fight crime, what do freedom fighters fight?
